Abstract: Provided is a method of optimized shear warp volume rendering. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method of shear skew warp volume rendering comprises steps of generating single run-length-encoded volume data irrelevant to an observation direction, determining an observation angle at which the run-length-encoded volume data is viewed, determining a shear transform matrix and a warp transform matrix based on the determined observation angle, projecting sheared volume slices obtained by applying the shear transform matrix to the run-length-encoded volume data, to an intermediate image, and applying the warp transform matrix to the intermediate image to generate a final image.
