    Abstract: PURPOSE: An arsenic removing method is provided to efficiently restore and purify underground water mixed with trivalent arsenic and pentavalent arsenic using ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION: An arsenic removing method includes the following: ultrasonic waves of 7-60W powder and 280-600 kHz frequency are applied to an aqueous solution containing trivalent arsenic and iron to generate hydroxyl radicals; the hydroxyl radicals oxidize the trivalent arsenic to form pentavalent arsenic; and the pentavalent arsenic is reacted with the iron to form an arsenic-iron complex. The iron is ferrous iron or ferric ions. The amount of the iron is in a range between 0.4 and 16mg/L. The pH value of the aqueous solution is in a range between 3 and 9.
