Abstract: PURPOSE: An examinee eligibility inquiry system and method and a recording medium are provided to enable a hospital/clinic being a health care institution to offer a medical service by directly inquiring the eligibility of an examinee. CONSTITUTION: A communications module (110) transmits/receives data to/from a system or a server located at the inside or outside of an examinee eligibility inquiry system. A National Health Insurance Service server (115) includes a system database (150), a transmission/reception module (160), and a judgment module (170). A health insurance database (152) stores information about health insurance holders. The judgment module inquires whether an examinee is a National Intelligence Service (NIS) policyholder from an NIS system (200). The NIS system checks if the examinee is in an NIS database (210).
