Abstract: An EMI testing apparatus and a testing method thereof are provided to decrease a test time by only testing a frequency band corresponding to a level below a horizontal virtual line related to magnitudes of an inter-modulation signal and a spurious signal to be tested. A reception system(110) includes a receiver(111), a signal generator(120), and a response confirming unit(130). The signal generator generates an EMI(ElectroMagnetic Interference) test signal of a predetermined magnitude level and transmits the EMI test signal to the reception system. The response confirming unit is arranged at an output terminal of the receiver in the reception system and includes a response characteristic measuring unit(131) which extracts a regular response characteristic curve of the receiver in the reception system. The response confirming unit communicates with the signal generator and extracts a test frequency band of the reception system corresponding to the EMI test signal of a predetermined magnitude level and confirms a response in the frequency band, where the response characteristic curve is below a magnitude level of the EMI test signal.
