    Abstract: PURPOSE: A controlling method for regenerative breaking of a vehicle in the malfunction of communication is provided to prevent the reduction of a regenerative breaking amount by selectively determining a routine of regenerative braking through a controller. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether regenerative braking enters(S101). Communication failure between each controller is determined(S102). A routine of the regenerative braking is determined by using a speed increase amount in vehicle driving and apply time for an accelerating pedal before braking(S103). A controller performs a regenerative braking maximization routine or a regenerative braking optimization routine(S104). The regenerative braking maximization routine is performed(S105). A communication state between controllers is monitored(S106). The regenerative braking optimization routine is performed(S107). Each controller performs a general operation such as braking or acceleration(S109).
