Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition of an inert reactant for inert reaction armor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to remarkably lower the detonation velocity and pressure to reduce the reaction range of a reactant, so that the composition can be used in a light-armored vehicle having a body of weak strength and help a nation's defense power further step up. CONSTITUTION: A composition of an inert reactant for inert reaction armor includes 15~50% by weight of energy material, 5-30% by weight of binder, 10-50% by weight of oxidant, 2-15% by weight of plasticizer and 10-30% by weight of pumice. A manufacturing method for inert reaction armor consisting of inert reactants comprises the steps of: (1) uniformly the mixing binder and the plasticizer, (2) injecting the energy material, the oxidant and an additive to the mixture obtained in the previous step and stirring the mixture, (3) putting the mixture of the previous step (2) into a container and vacuuming the container to remove pores and (4) solidifying the pore removed mixture.
