Abstract: A minimum size type spherical motor of the present invention comprises a fixing unit, a rotating unit (20), a guide tool unit, and a center shaft (30). The fixing unit comprises a permanent magnet which forms a magnetic loop. The rotating unit (20) outputs torque by using Lorentz force generated by a magnetic field which is generated in a gap of the fixing unit (10) and applied current. The guide tool unit guides output torque to a desired direction when force is applied to the rotating unit (20) and generates a signal for feedback control. The center shaft (30) is connected to the rotating unit (20) to output the torque generated in the rotating unit (20). The present invention is provided to use the Lorentz force according to the principle of a voice coil, thereby outputting second induced decoupled linear torque and performing high accuracy and usability of control. The present invention is provided to apply a gimbal type guide tool in which a hall effect sensor is applied, thereby improving the availability of the inner space of a motor and the availability in a military field.

Abstract: A spherical motor with a built-in sensor of the present invention comprises: at least one stator (30) which is formed by the integration of an outer yoke, a permanent magnet, and an inner yoke, and which envelops a rotor (10) having a shaft for outputting a torque into a spherical shape; a coil rotor (40) which rotates the rotor (10) in at least two axial directions by up-and-down movements generated among the inner yokes; and a gimbal guide unit which is disposed in a space inside the coil rotor (40) and has at least one encoder. The spherical motor with a built-in sensor of the present invention outputs a driving torque that is linearly proportional to current by Lorentz force using the principle of a voice coil motor (VCM), and especially, can be realized with a compact size by having a gimbal and an encoder in an internal space inside the stator (40).
