Abstract: An interference removal device for a polyphase filter bank-based repeater is disclosed. A power measurement unit measures power of a frequency band-specific signal outputted by a polyphase filter bank's analyzer and an interference removal unit sets the size of those frequency band-specific signals with power surpassing a preset reference power level. A signal output unit outputs the frequency band-specific signals processed by the interference removal unit to a synthesis device of the polyphase filter bank. The present invention is fit for a satellite repay system as it removes interferencing signals with a simpler structure compared to that of the traditional method in which the interferencing signals get removed by applying a fast Fourier transformation to the signals having passed the analyzer of a polyphase filter bank.
