Abstract: The present invention relates to an HEMP protection apparatus for an LAN line capable of protecting a device connected to the LAN line from a high - altitude electromagnetic pulse(HEMP) generated by high altitude nuclear explosion of ground 30 Km or greater. The HEMP protection apparatus for an LAN line includes a signal input unit to primarily limit an over current due to an HEMP pulse using a gas discharge tube when the HEMP pulse is input to a signal input terminal to which an LAN signal is input; an over signal filter to secondarily limit an over current due to the HEMP pulse by removing a high frequency component of the LAN signal, and limit an over voltage due to the HEMP pulse by reducing a voltage level of the LAN signal; and a signal output unit to output the LAN signal having the limited over current and over current due to the HEMP pulse to a signal output terminal.

Abstract: A signal selective protection device according to the present invention comprises a signal input unit, a filter unit, and a signal output unit. The signal output unit is configured to mainly remove a transient component of a high altitude electromagnetic pulse and the filter unit is configured to secondarily remove the remaining transient components which are not removed from the signal input unit. Therefore, the present invention prevents electricity, electron, and communication equipment from being damaged by effectively shutting off the high altitude electromagnetic pulse which is contained in a signal to be input in an input terminal, thereby it is possible to operate equipment stably.

Abstract: 본 발명에 따른 고주파신호 감쇄장치는 신호입력부, 고주파감쇄부 및 신호출력부를 포함한다. 상기 신호입력부에서 고고도 전자기파(High altitude ElectroMagnetic Pulse)에 포함된 과도성분의 대부분을 제거하고, 상기 고주파감쇄부로 전달한다. 상기 고주파감쇄부는 상기 신호입력부로부터 수신한 신호에 남아있는 고주파 성분을 복수 개의 필터부를 이용하여 효과적으로 차단한다. 따라서, 본 발명은 입력단에 입력된 신호에 포함된 과도성분 및 고주파 성분을 제거하고 상기 신호를 원하는 주파수 대역만 포함하여 출력되도록 하여 전기, 전자 및 통신기기의 안정적인 장비 운용을 가능하도록 한다.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a protection device for a power line against a high altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) capable of being utilized in facilities requiring a protection device against HEMP for a large-capacity power supply over 100 A by composing the protection device for a power line against HEMP using a differential-mode inductor circuit. According to the embodiments of the present specification, the protection device for a power line against HEMP for protection against HEMP flowing in through a power input terminal includes: a power input unit which discharges HEMP current flowing in through a power input terminal to a ground terminal and accordingly reduces the HEMP current primarily; a radio frequency interference (RFI) filter unit which blocks electromagnetic waves by more than a predefined value in a certain high frequency electromagnetic wave band while maintaining the HEMP which is primarily reduced by the power input unit not to exceed a predefined current value; and a power output unit which is connected to the RFI unit and provides a power terminal to apply power to a load device.
