테트라 설파이드기를 도입한 점토화합물, 이를 함유하는 고무/점토 나노복합체 및 이들의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 고무/점토 복합체는 유연성을 유지하면서 인장 강도, 파단신율, 인열 강도, 열 안정성 등의 기계적 물성이 뛰어나므로, 이러한 특성들이 요구되는 패킹, 가스켓, 의료용, 전기절연용 제품, 각종 기계의 진동 및 충격 흡수용 탄성체와 같이 탄성체의 물성이 완제품의 내구성이나 품질에 지대한 영향을 미치는 부품 등에 있어서 유용하게 사용할 수 있다. 고무, 점토, 비스(3-트리에톡시실릴프로필)테트라 설파이드
Abstract:
A clay compound modified with a tetra sulfide group, a rubber/clay nanocomposite containing the same, and methods for preparing them are provided to show excellent mechanical properties including tensile strength, elongation at break, tear strength and heat stability while maintaining flexibility. A clay compound is modified with a tetra sulfide group and particularly, is prepared by a method comprising the steps of: admixing a silane compound containing a tetra sulfide group to a water-soluble solvent and hydrating the admixture with an appropriate acid; and admixing clay to the resulting hydrated silane compound solution, followed by stirring. A rubber/clay nanocomposite contains the clay compound modified with the tetra sulfide group, and particularly, is prepared by a method comprising the steps of: mixing the clay compound modified with the tetra sulfide group, a rubber and a cross-linking agent, followed by stirring; and drying the resulting solution, and then heating the solution under a pressure to be cured. Further, the rubber is a silicon rubber which is poly dimethyl siloxane.
