Abstract: PURPOSE: A network traffic analysis system and method for verifying traffic imitation and traffic similarity of a network are provided to verify similarity of imitated traffic and real traffic. CONSTITUTION: A real traffic of a network is collected by capturing a packet of a network(S201). A probability density function and a parameter value are extracted through information obtained from a collected real traffic(S202). By using the probability density function and the parameter value of the real traffic, a imitated traffic is generated(S204). A probability density function and a parameter value of the generated imitated traffic is extracted(S205). The probability density function and the parameter value of the real traffic and the probability density function and the parameter value of the generated imitated traffic are compared(S206).
