Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for forming an instrument panel of a variable flight simulator using graphic images are provided to maximize productivity by applying graphic images to a flight simulator. CONSTITUTION: An image device comprises a touch panel and a display. The image device forms data on a flight simulator generated from a generation unit (110). A module (122) for setting a communications channel sets the communications channel and generation unit for flight simulator data, and transmits and receives the data. A module (126) for forming graphic instrument comprises an operation simulator which controls events for operating an instrument and switch. The module for forming graphic instrument outputs image resources (127) from graphic instrument images, and provides the events by processing the events in an instrument operating simulator (129). The module for setting a communications channel transmits the events of the image device to the generation unit for the flight simulator data. The properties of the graphic instrument images is formed by a GIML script file and interlocks with graphic instrument images, instrument operation event, and switch operation event.
