    Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide an apparatus and a method for measuring a deformation rate which is generated during a mechanical test using a contactless optical method. Specifically, provided in the present invention are an apparatus and a method for effectively measuring the deformation rate of a specimen using a single system from room temperature to 3,000 deg. C by solving a problem that an accurate image acquisition is difficult due to self radiation and heat emission of a specimen in a high temperature test.
