Abstract: PURPOSE: A two-way radio having an inter-channel relay function and a relay processing method using the same are provided to simultaneously transmit voice and data by extending a communication distance using an inter-channel relay function through channel conversion in an ad-hoc network. CONSTITUTION: A user interface processing unit(130) transmits analyzed data from a protocol processing unit to a control unit. The user interface processing unit requests generation of a data packet input through a user interface device from the control unit. A protocol processing unit(140) performs frame analysis, packet analysis, packet generation, frame generation and relay processing function between respectively different channels on a transmitted and received signal according to a preset wireless access method. A wireless access signal processing unit(150) performs signal processing corresponding to a wireless access method of each transmitted and received signal. An RF(Radio Frequency) processing unit(160) transmits and receives an RF signal classified by a preset channel.
