Abstract: PURPOSE: An automatic focusing device using multiple body tubes and a focusing method are provided to improve the quality of images in which distant subjects and fast moving subjects are photographed. CONSTITUTION: An automatic focusing device using multiple body tubes comprises a beam splitter(10), a main focus lens(15), a main image sensor(16), a first sub-focus lens(12), a first sub-image sensor(11), a second sub-focus lens(14), and a second sub-image sensor(13). The beam splitter partitions and provides incident light. The main focus lens receives the light delivered from the beam splitter. The main image sensor receives the light provided to the main focus lens. The first sub-focus lens receives the light provided to the beam splitter. The first sub-image sensor receives the light delivered by the first sub-focus lens. The second sub-focus lens receives the light provided to the beam splitter. The second sub-image sensor receives the light provided by the second sub-focus lens.
