    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing blocks using sewage sludge, the blocks manufactured by the method, and artificial wetland including the blocks are provided to improve the compressive intensity, the water permeability, and the heavy metal elution characteristic of the blocks by adjusting the mixing ratio of sewage sludge, loess, and clay. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing blocks using sewage sludge includes the following: sewage sludge is dried(S1100); loess and clay are mixed with the dried sewage sludge to prepare samples(S1200); the samples formed into a shaped material(S1300); the shaped material is dried at a temperature between 95 and 115 degrees Celsius(S1400); and the dried material is plasticized at a temperature between 890 and 910 degrees Celsius(S1500). The sewage sludge, the loess, and the clay are mixed at the weight ratio of 15:65:20. After the sewage sludge drying process, the moisture rate of the sewage sludge is 9.3 weight%, and the volatile solid content of the sewage sludge is 52.3 weight%.
