    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for forecasting an ozone by a fuzzy specialist system and a neuron system is provided to supply a high forecasting rate based on a high density ozone by classifying cases that a high density ozone are generated into various patterns and developing a model based on the classification. CONSTITUTION: Pre-measured high density ozone patterns of more than 80 ppb are classified into various patterns. A fuzzy model is applied to the classified ozone pattern, and a site-specific fuzzy rule and a common fuzzy rule are prepared. A fuzzy inference of a high density ozone possibility is performed using the prepared fuzzy rule. In the case that a high density ozone possibility is diagnosed at the above stage, an ozone density is calculated using a neuron system. The high density ozone patterns is self-corrected by an appendix of a high density ozone pattern case. The pattern classification of the ozone pattern is classified by a multi-variable statistics analyzing method including a homogeneous cluster or a principal component analysis.
