Abstract: 본 발명은 광통신 시스템에 이용될 수 있는 광신호 탭 모듈에 관한 것으로, 특히 제1 콜리메이션부(collimation part), 제2 콜리메이션부 및 검출부(detection part)로 구성된 광신호 탭 모듈에서 상기 콜리메이션부를 이용하여 광도파로에서의 광신호를 검출부로 결합하는 광신호 탭 모듈에 관한 것이다.
상기 각 콜리메이션부는 광도파로와 GRIN(graded index) 렌즈로 이루어져 있다. 광도파로를 통과한 광신호는 제2 콜리메이션부의 경사면에서 공기와 렌즈의 유효 굴절률 차이에 의해 부분적으로 반사되고 부분적으로는 GRIN 렌즈를 통과하여 출력 광도파로로 커플링되어 진행한다. 상기 부분적으로 반사된 광신호는 검출부의 수광소자를 통하여 검출되거나 또 다른 콜리메이션부를 통하여 진행하게 된다.
본 발명은 광통신 시스템에서 이용되는 광신호 탭 모듈에 있어서, 상기 광신호 탭 모듈은 광도파로(11)와 GRIN 렌즈(12)로 이루어진 제1 콜리메이션부(10)와, 입력된 광신호를 부분적으로 반사하기 위해 경사면을 가지는 GRIN 렌즈(22)와 광도파로(21)로 이루어진 제2 콜리메이션부(20)로 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An optical waveguide tap by using a graded index lens mirror with a sloping cross section is provided to detect a portion of traveling optical signal by using the reflection between the lens of the collimation unit and the air. CONSTITUTION: An optical waveguide tap by using a graded index lens mirror with a sloping cross section includes a first collimation part(10), a second collimation part(20) and an optical detector(30). The first collimation part(10) is made of an optical waveguide(11) and a graded index(GRIN) lens(12). The second collimation part(20) is made of an optical fiber(21) and a GRIN lens(22) with a sloping cross section for partially reflecting the optical signal inputted thereto. And, the optical detector(30) detects the optical signal partially reflected from the sloping cross section of the GRIN lens(22).
