Abstract:
A method for adaptively detecting scene switchover in real-time in a PMP(Personal Multimedia Player) is provided to discriminate the scene switchover more easily than using a present dispersion value by using weight dispersion. A dispersion value applying weight is used to extract a feature value of a scene switchover. An average of pixel values is computed from a differential frame between two consecutive frames. Dispersion of the next frame is calculated by using the calculated average.

PURPOSE: A watermarking and encryption technique for resolution improvement, forgery prevention and contents spread prevention in a surveillance camera system is provided to realize high resolution image restoration and watermarking while preventing image quality deterioration of an important area like a face by selectively watermarking a non interest area. CONSTITUTION: A watermarking and encryption technique for resolution improvement, forgery prevention and contents spread prevention in a surveillance camera system improves resolution of a human face up to a level that subjective determination is possible in the surveillance camera system. Watermark information is selectively inserted into a non interesting area by selecting a area when invasion is generated in the surveillance camera system. In the surveillance camera system, a watermark is selectively inserted into only a specific frame by watermarking time information. A watermark is selectively inserted into only a specific part of a GOP(Group of Picture) in the surveillance camera system. A monitoring image is and stored by selectively encrypting only a part that a user wants.

A method of detecting a real time scene change in a portable multimedia player is provided to realize a real time scene detection function in a system with a small amount of resources. A portable multimedia player detects a scene change in real time while playing multimedia. The player plays the detected scene. The player detects a scene change in real time while storing multimedia broadcast data. The player stores detected scene change time information in a storage device while storing the multimedia broadcast data. The player accesses or plays all scenes in real time by using the stored multimedia contents are the stored scene change time information.
