    Abstract: PURPOSE: An alternating multi resonant converter with two switches is provided to decrease the resonant voltage stress. The apparatus divides the input voltage into a plurality of output voltage so as to make the resonance, which allows the high frequency switching and high efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A multi resonant converter includes a voltage divider(10) which divides the input voltage into a plurality of output voltage, a transformer which adjusts the level of an output voltage. The first and second switches connected between the voltage divider and a transformer(20) provide alternatively the output voltage from the driver to the transformer. The converter has a reset circuit(40), a rectifier(50), a filter(60), and a output port(70), and they are connected in series. One switch is turn on state for the duration of the other is turn off state. Thus each switch operates alternatively.
