Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing dried Rehmannia glutinosa extract is provided to remarkably reduce c-Fos expression and to prevent and treat drug addiction. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating drug addiction contains dried Rehmannia glutinosa extract as an active ingredient. The dried Rehmannia glutinosa extract is obtained using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture solvent thereof. The drug is cocaine, (meth)amphetamine, nicotine, morphine, alcohol, cannabis or caffeine. A health food for preventing and treating drug addiction contains the dried Rehmannia glutinosa extract as an active ingredient. The health food is manufactured in the form of powder, granule, tablet, capsule, syrup, or beverage.

Abstract: 본 발명은 건지황 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로 본 발명의 건지황 추출물은 약물 중독의 지표로 사용되는 행동적 민감화(Behavioral sensitization) 반응인 보행성 활동량의 감소효과 뿐만 아니라, 뇌의 측핵과 선조체에서의 신경활성 지표인 c-Fos 발현을 급격히 감소시킴을 확인함으로써, 상기 조성물은 약물 중독 및 금단증상의 예방 및 치료를 위한 약학조성물 또는 건강기능식품으로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
