Abstract: A composition for improving and treating acne vulgaris, which contains Corydalis turtschaninovii extract or dehydrocorydaline is provided to have antibacterial effect against propionibacterium acnes. A pharmaceutical composition of skin external preparation for improving and treating acne vulgaris comprises 0.1-50 weight% of Corydalis turtschaninovii extract or dehydrocorydaline as an active ingredient. The Corydalis turtschaninovii extract is isolated from stem, leaf, and flower of Corydalis Tuber using one or more solvent selected from water, ethanol, methanol, propanol, butanol, acetone, ethylacetate, hexane, butylenes glycol, propylene glycol and hydrous butylenes glycol, hydrous propylene glycol and hydrous glycerin. The composition is used in a form of cream, gel, patch, ointment, lotion, or cataplasma agent.
