Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition for preventing or treating hyperlipidemia or obesity, which contains extract of Morus alba L. leaves is provided to reduce the content of total blood cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, weight, lipid and blood leptin. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidermia or obesity contains extract of Morus alba L. leaves as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water including purified water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms or their mixture solvent.
