Abstract: An artificial marble stone having a metal-like texture is provided to realize a low specific gravity and excellent compression strength, flexural strength and tensile strength, and to maintain the color and gloss for a long time by virtue of excellent impact resistance, scratch resistance, wear resistance and chemical resistance. An artificial marble stone having a metal-like texture comprises: 3.0-7.0 wt% of a ferrosilicon or silicon metal; 50.0-60.0 wt% of silica sand type quartz having a silica content of 96% or higher; 23.0-30.0 wt% of silica powder type quartz, at least 96% of whose particles pass through 325 mesh ; and 7.0-10.0 wt% of an unsaturated polyester resin. The artificial marble stone further comprises 2.0-3.0 wt% of t-butyl peroxybenzoate, 1.0-2.0 wt% of 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane and 1.0-5.0 wt% of a pigment, based on the amount of the unsaturated polyester resin.
