    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the low-voltage compensation of a wind turbine having a synchronous generator and a control method thereof are provided to stably and continuously generate wind power without the stop of a synchronous generator. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling the low-voltage compensation of a wind turbine having a synchronous generator comprises a power system measuring instrument(9) and a compensation load(7). The power system measuring instrument is connected to a synchronous generator(4) of a wind turbine and monitors the voltage of a power system(10). The compensation load is connected to the synchronous generator and uses power generated from the wind turbine when a voltage drop is generated in the power system measuring instrument.
