Abstract: PURPOSE: A primer and a probe for detecting an SNP(Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) marker which is useful for identifying Hanwoo(Korean beef) and imported beef, and a kit containing the same are provided to simply, cheaply, and accurately identify Hanwoo and imported beef. CONSTITUTION: A kit for determining Hanwoo and imported beef contains one or more polynucleotides selected from a group consisting of polynucleotides with 8-100 continuous base sequences containing 301th base in polynucleotides of sequence numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, or a complementary base sequences thereof. A method for identifying Hanwoo and imported beef comprises: a step of preparing genomic DNA from a biological beef sample; a step of detecting the base type of SNP in the genome DNA; and a step of determining Hanwoo and imported beef from the detected base type.
