Abstract: PURPOSE: Auxin receptor gene ABP57 relating to the cell membrane hydrogen pump activation of rice-derived plant is provided to develop novel crops and a crop protective agent. CONSTITUTION: Auxin receptor protein ABP57 relating to the cell membrane hydrogen pump activation of rice-derived plant has an amino acid sequence selected from sequence numbers 1-5. A gene encoding the ABP57 has an amino acid sequence of sequence numbers 6-10. Plant characteristics are improved by transforming a host cell with a recombinant protein. A composition for improving plant characteristics contains the gene encoding ABP57.
