    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for top-dressing a fertilizer in soil is provided to prevent the contact between the fertilizer and the roots of the crops, to prevent the loss of the fertilizer due to a heavy rain, and to automatize the top-dress work of the fertilizer. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for top-dressing a fertilizer comprises a support member(5) having a lower discharge hole, a fertilizer supply plate rotatively seated in the support member having several upper discharge holes successively coinciding to the lower discharge hole, a first fertilizer receiver(30) surrounding the fertilizer supply plate, an anti-discharge device provided in the first fertilizer receiver, a top-dress hopper(50), a hopper lifting device(60), and one-direction rotating device. The anti-discharge device prevents the discharge of the fertilizer remaining after the fertilizer moves via the upper discharge holes when the lower and the upper discharge holes are coincided. The top-dress hopper having a top and bottom opened type second fertilizer receiver(51) finally receives the fertilizer discharged from the lower discharge hole to top-dress the fertilizer into the soil by using a top dress tool(52) to be inserted into the soil. The one-direction rotating device serves to rotate the fertilizer supply plate in only one direction relative to the support member.
