Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a novel microorganism which solubilizes fixed phosphates in soil of volcanic lime ash, thereby utilizing phosphates fixed in soil of volcanic lime ash in a tangerine orchard. CONSTITUTION: A novel microorganism strain, Bacillus spharicus PSB-13(KCTC 18005P) is excellent in phosphate solubilization and easily adapts itself to the condition of soil of volcanic lime ash. It shows viability at pH 4-7 and 4-70 deg.C and has an organic acid productability to produce citric acid and oxalic acid. It is also easily mixed with organics and used.
