Abstract: PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Samhwangseje-gamibang(kind of Oriental medicine) and a cosmetic product manufactured using the same are provided to treat and alleviate damaged skin due to skin inflammation, rash, and atopic dermatitis. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for sensitive skin contains extracts of Rheum palmatum, Phellodendri cortex, Scutellariae Radix, Sophorae Radix, Lonicerae flos, Forsythiae fructus, and Portulacae Herba. The extracts are prepared by adding 120g of each ingredient to water, and extracting at 95-105 deg. C for 3 hours twice. The marker of the extracts is baicalin and berberine. The extract contains 0.8% or more of the marker. A cosmetic product for sensitive skin is manufactured using the cosmetic composition.
