    Abstract: PURPOSE: A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery and its preparation method are provided, to inhibit the change of volume generated in the charge/discharge of a battery by obtaining particles having uniform and dense particle size, thereby preventing capacity loss and improving charge/discharge cycle property. CONSTITUTION: The negative electrode comprises an ultrasonic-treated tin oxide powder. The method comprises the steps of ultrasonic-treating a tin oxide powder to allow the particle size to be uniform and dense; and preparing an electrode by using the ultrasonic-treated tin oxide powder. Preferably the tin oxide is SnO2.
