Abstract:
The invention provides a method of controlling by-products or pollutants from fuel combustion, comprising combusting a fuel containing a dispersion, the dispersion comprises: (a) a mixture of at least two metal bases, wherein each metal of the metal bases has an average oxidation state of (+2) or higher, (b) at least one surfactant; and (c) at least one organic medium, wherein the metal bases are uniformly dispersed in the organic medium.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a fuel composition comprising a C1-4 alkyl fatty acid ester, a nitrogen containing detergent, and a phenolic antioxidant. Additionally, the present invention provides for a method of supplying to an internal combustion engine (i) a C1-4 alkyl fatty acid ester; (ii) a fuel which is a liquid at room temperature other than (i); (iii) a nitrogen containing detergent; (iv)and a phenolic antioxidant.
Abstract:
The invention provides a process for preparing a dispersion of particles, by reducing in particle size at least one component by agitating the component in the presence of (i) a plurality of beads; (ii) a powder; (iii) a surfactant; and (iv) a liquid medium to form a dispersion, wherein the particles are uniformly dispersed in the liquid medium. The invention further provides for the use of the dispersion of particles.
