Abstract: PURPOSE: A biometrics using finger geometry information is provided to realize the finger geometry recognition equipment of the small size by the finger geometric information. CONSTITUTION: An individual finger image is obtained through camera(S100). Using the division of the edge area and finger domain, only the finger domain is extracted from the individual finger image(S200). The minute geometrical property pattern of the finger is extracted from the finger domain(S300). Based on the geometrical property pattern, the similarity of the registered private feature pattern is measured(S400). The approval or the reject of the biometric result is decided through the pattern classification algorithm(S500).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for restoring infrared vein image blurred by skin scattering is provided to improve the visibility improvement on the medical field. CONSTITUTION: The method for restoring infrared vein image comprises as follows. The image of the blood vessel having relatively dark to the skin is acquired using the near infrared ray irradiation apparatus and infrared camera. The virtual blood vessel image is produced based on the blood vessel thickness of the general man. The unknown parameter of the point distribution function is estimated by the line profile matching between the second vein image and the first vein image. The point distribution function is produced based on the presumed unknown parameter. The first vein image of which boundary is vague is restored by convolution of the point distribution function of the Gaussian.
