    Abstract: PURPOSE: A producing method of two-dimensional transition metal hydroxide using electron beam irradiation is provided to environment-friendlily produce layered hydroxide salt(LHS) and layered double hydroxide(LDH) without using toxic organic compounds including strong bases and stabilizers. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of layered hydroxide salts and layered double hydroxide comprises the following steps: mixing metal nitrate with a solvent; irradiating the mixed solution with electron beam while stirring; and washing and drying the result. The solvent is selected from alcohol, methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, isopropanol, 2-methyl-propanol, and 2-methyl-2-propanol. The irradiation amount of the electronic beam from the second step is 50-350kGy. A negative ion absorber comprises the layered hydroxide salts and layered double hydroxide.
