Abstract: Disclosed is an anti-asthmatic composition using a cotton fruit bark extract which reduces a number of leukocytes and eosinophils in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, and inhibits the production of IgE in animal models of asthma induced by ovalbumin. The anti-asthmatic composition of the present invention can be commercialized as a food or a drug.
