    Abstract: PURPOSE: A power switch using a memory alloy is provided to be usable semi-permanently for overheating or over-current by utilizing a power switch using a memory alloy. CONSTITUTION: A power switch(10) includes a switch terminal(100) and an open/close unit(200). The switch terminal is turned on or off to supply or block currents. The open/close unit is connected to the switch terminal and supplies or blocks currents. The open/close unit includes a memory alloy component(210) and an elastic unit(220). The memory alloy component is formed in a spring shape, placed in the power switch, and controls the operation of the switch terminal with the properties of a memory alloy. One end of the elastic unit is combined with the memory alloy component, and the other end is combined with the switch terminal. The memory alloy component detects the temperature of the inside and gets a specific amount of deformation when the temperature reaches a specific temperature. The elastic unit performs elastic motion in order to enable the memory alloy component to be connected to the switch terminal.
