Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a cosmetic composition for keeping and/or fixing a keratin fiber especially such as a hair style capable of imparting long-term continuous fixing properties especially such as a good easiness of untangling, flexibility and a good appearance and further good cosmetic properties to the hair. CONSTITUTION: The cosmetic composition includes (1) at least one film-forming polymer(A) which is produced by drying a mixture of the polymer(A), water and ethanol at a room temperature and 50% relative humidity, and (2) at least one crosslinked thickened polymer(B) containing at least one acrylic acid(methacrylic acid) monomer and the content of the polymer (B) of which is at least 0.6 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition. The polymer(A) has (i) more than 300% of rupture elongation, (ii) more than 45% of recovery in 300 seconds, (iii) less than 1300% of rupture elongation if the recovery is 45-60% in 300 seconds.
