Abstract: The present application relates to a new class of cationic naphthalimide compounds which may be used as direct dyes, and to a dyeing composition for the dyeing of keratin fibres, in particular of human keratin fibres such as the hair, which comprises, in an appropriate dyeing medium, at least one such compound. The present application also relates to the method of dyeing implementing this composition and to the uses of this composition.
