Abstract: Detergent cosmetic compositions comprising amino silicone and use thereof are provided to improve cosmetic properties including disentangling, lightness, and smoothing properties in the treated hair, and working properties including intrinsic washing power and latherability of the hair. The detergent cosmetic composition comprises (A) at least one sulfate or sulfonate anionic surfactant, (B) at least one carboxylic anionic surfactant other than the surfactant(A), (C) at least one amphoteric surfactant, and (D) at least one amino silicone in the cosmetically acceptable aqueous medium, wherein the weight ratio of the sulfate or sulfonate anionic surfactant and the carboxylic anionic surfactant is 2 to 12; the total weight of the surfactants is 4 to 35 wt.% relative to the total weight of the composition; and the amino silicone is selected from (a) polysiloxanes represented by the formula(I), (b) amino silicones represented by the formula(II), (c) amino silicones represented by the formula(VIII), (d) quaternary ammonium silicones represented by the formula(IX), (e) amino silicones represented by the formula(X) and (f) polyoxyalkylenated amino silicones of type (XY)i represented by the formula(XI).
