Abstract: PURPOSE: A container with removable protection element, especially before its first use is provided to easily remove a protection member such as a rigid inner lid for protecting the product of an inner part of the container. CONSTITUTION: The container, especially of glass, comprises a screw top(30), and a rigid inner lid(10) to protect the product. The rigid inner lid(10) is equipped with a central holder(14). The outer edge(11) of the lid(10) has a series of thin peripheral ribs to form a cup shape on its under-surface with gaps at intervals to stop it sticking to the container rim.
