Abstract: PURPOSE: A novel cosmetic composition for local use is provided, which has improved photo protection, so that protects skin, lips, nails, eyebrows and/or hair from ultra-violet radiation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition in a cosmetically permitted carrier, comprises 0.1-20wt.% of one or more silicone derivatives having functional a benzotriazole group as a lipophilic and organic UV blocking agent and 0.1-99 wt.% of one or more benzoic triacid ester to dissolve the whole blocking agent. The silicone derivatives having benzotriazole group are silane or siloxane having benzotriazole group having one or more units of formula 1 represented by O(3-a)/2Si(R1)a-G. The benzoic triacid ester is selected from benzoic triacid, C3-C30 of chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated alcohol and triester.
