Abstract: A keratin fiber dyeing composition is provided to be applied to hair, thereby obtaining strong and relatively non-selective shade and hair with good beauty characteristics. A keratin fiber dyeing composition comprises: 0.001-20 wt.% of at least one direct dye; 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one bioheterosaccharide; 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one cationic surfactant; and 0.01-10 wt.% of at least one amphoteric surfactant. A method for dyeing the keratin fiber comprises a step of applying the composition to the fiber for a time enough for coloring a desired color. Further, the amphoteric surfactant is selected from alkylbetaine, alkylamidoalkylbetaine and coamphodiacetate.
