    Abstract: PURPOSE: A cellulose ether is provided to exhibit excellent properties even in a small amount of the cellulose ether when used for cement mortar as a thickener. CONSTITUTION: A cellulose ether is derived from at least one kind of cellulose with the inherent viscosity of 1,000~5,000g/mL and is selected from cotton, staple fiber, and lint. The volumetric density of the cellulose is 0.001~0.250g/mL. The content of α-cellulose is 80~99 weight%. The particle size distribution of the cellulose is 80~99 weight% of ASTM mesh No. 18-passing powder is 80~99 weight%. The whiteness of the cellulose is whiteness of the cellulose 80~98%.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A cellulose ether derivative and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the productivity by using a master batch of pulverized pulp and silica. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a cellulose ether derivative comprises the following steps: preparing a master batch of pulverized pulp and silica; adding the master batch to a reactor, and inserting an alkalizing agent to transform a cellulose part into alkali cellulose; and adding an etherifying agent to the reactor to transform the alkali cellulose into cellulose ether. The average particle diameter of the pulverized pulp is 50~500 microns.

Further, a viscosity of the cellulose ether is 10 to 200000 cps, and the surfactant is an anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant or a mixture thereof.
