    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus for oscillating a wind tunnel model for a bridge is provided to implement a wind tunnel test with high reliability under various test conditions by diversifying the amplitude and frequency of oscillation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for oscillating a wind tunnel model for a bridge comprises crank shafts(32), rotating plates(48), connecting rods(50), and load cells(33). The crank shaft are perpendicularly extended from shaft members(31) projected outward from both ends of a wind tunnel model(30). The rotating plates are respectively connected to both ends of a driving shaft(46), which is rotated by a motor(42). The connecting rods connect the crank shaft and the rotating plate. The load cells are installed in the shaft members and measure the lifting force and moment. The bottom of the connection rods is connected to the rotating plate eccentrically from the center of the rotating plate, and the top of the connection rods is connected to the central part of the crank shafts when perpendicularly oscillating the wind tunnel model while connected to one side of the crank shafts, separated from the central part of the crank shafts, when torsionally oscillating the wind tunnel model.
