Abstract: PURPOSE: A log-likelihood ratio(LLR) estimation method in a multi-input multi-output(MIMO) channel is provided to separate a soft-decision bit without performance degradation by using a candidate vector. CONSTITUTION: A mapping point is selected as a candidate vector. The mapping point is located within a predetermined range based on I-ch and Q-ch values of receiving signals among mapping points estimated in a receiving end. Log-likelihood computation is performed by using the selected candidate vector. The log-likelihood computation is performed by reflecting the number of transmitting antennas, the number of receiving antennas, and a modulation method for dividing the receiving signals into data of the number of transmitting antennas.
