    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is an electrochemical wastewater treatment apparatus for simultaneously treating mixed wastewater, the apparatus can reduce treatment time as well as it has a compact size so that it can be installed in a small area and economically operated and managed. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a reaction tank (10) having anode electrodes (20) and cathode electrodes (20a) alternatively arranged at regular intervals in the reaction tank (10) for defining treatment cells (10a,10b,10c,10d - 10n), a wastewater inlet (12) provided at a lower portion of one side of the reaction tank (10), and a wastewater outlet (13) provided at an upper portion of the opposite side of the reaction tank (10); a wastewater distribution unit (11) provided at the bottom of the reaction tank (10) and having wastewater discharge holes (11a) at a side thereof, wherein the wastewater is introduced into the treatment cells (10a,10b) of the reaction tank (10) through the discharge holes (11a) of the wastewater distribution unit (11) and flows to the other cells (10c,10d - 10n) in opposite direction with respect to the flow of its respective adjacent cells and discharged from the wastewater outlet (13); a power supply (60) for supplying power to the electrodes (20,20a); a pump for transferring wastewater to the wastewater inlet (12); and a controller (40) for adjusting operation condition such as conductivity, pH and temperature.
