Abstract: A separator of a chip in grinding lubricant is provided to improve separation efficiency in metallic and non-metallic chips by forming a magnet for attaching the non-metallic chips to the inner periphery of a rotation drum with magnetic force. A separator of a chip in grinding lubricant comprises a fixing drum(10) having a receiving part(11) inside, a supply path(16), a magnet(20), a rotation path(28), plural scrapers(32), and a chute(34). The supply path horizontally installed in the fixing drum supplies the grinding lubricant(1) through a discharging port(18) placed at the front end into the receiving part in the fixing drum. The magnet attached to the outer periphery of the fixing drum attaches metallic chips(1a) included in the grinding lubricant supplied into the fixing drum to the inner periphery(10a) of the fixing drum. The rotation path inserted between the fixing drum and the supply path is operated by the power of a motor(22). The plural scrapers extended along the front periphery of the rotation path transfers the metallic chips onto the fixing drum to be rotated by operation of the rotation path. The chute discharges the metallic chips to be transferred onto the fixing drum to the outside of the fixing drum. The non-metallic chips(1b) is transferred onto the fixing drum to be pressed by the fixing chips attached on the inner periphery of the fixing drum with magnetic force.

Abstract: A separator for a chip in grinding lubricant is provided to separate metallic and non-metallic chips to be transferred to a scraper by forming a magnet at the outer periphery of a rotation drum. A separator for a chip in grinding lubricant comprise a rotation drum(10) rotated with the power of a motor, a supply path(14), a magnet(20), a scraper(22), and a chute(24). The supply path horizontally installed in the rotation drum supplies the grinding lubricant into the rotation drum through a discharging port placed at the front end. The magnet positioned at the outer periphery of the rotation drum attaches a metallic chip included in the grinding lubricant supplied into the rotation drum to the inner periphery of the rotation drum. The scraper attached to the inner periphery of the rotation drum separates the metallic chip transferred to be attached to the inner periphery of the rotation drum. The chute positioned inside the rotation drum discharges the metallic chip separated from the scraper to the outside of the rotation drum. The non-metallic chips included in the grinding lubricant fed into the rotation drum is transferred to the scraper with the metallic chips to be pressed by the metallic chips attached to the inner periphery of the rotation drum with magnetic force.
