Abstract: The present invention is a mixture extract of yacon, Torilis japonica, and Acorus gramines, and a health food composition for preventing or alleviating benign prostatic hyperplasia or alopecia and a cosmetic composition for preventing or alleviating alopecia, containing the same. The mixture extract of yacon, Torilis japonica, and Acorus gramines has an outstanding effect on suppressing the testosterone 5 alpha-reductase, thus the mixture extract can be usefully used for a health food composition or a cosmetic composition for preventing or alleviating benign prostatic hyperplasia and alopecia. Especially, frequent urination, residual urination, night frequent urination, oliguria, oliguria increase, and dysuria of a patient with benign prostatic hyperplasia can be alleviated after one or two weeks from the date of injecting the mixture extract according to the present invention. Fat metabolism in liver can be promoted and function of kidney also can be improved by injecting the mixture extract according to the present invention. Moreover, even though a patent takes the mixture extract during a long period such as 12 months or more, unlikely existing chemical agents there is no any side effect or discomfort, thus the mixture extract has an outstanding safety.
