Abstract: PURPOSE: A joint/force element automatic generation method reduces the overall modeling time and maintains a certain level of work efficiency by automatically generating a joint/force element. CONSTITUTION: One contact surface out of all the contact surfaces constituting a joint/force element is selected from one of two different objects and the form of the selected contact surface is automatically recognized. A set of joint/force element candidates that can be generated are automatically extracted by analyzing the composition structure of the contact surface based on a certain process. When a joint/force element is selected out of all the extracted candidates, the axis location and direction of the element are automatically defined and set according to the certain process and the joint/force element is generated.
