Abstract: A rotary compressor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to easily suspend and return a rotor by engaging a hook in an outer circumference of a platelike member at an upper end of the rotor provided with a cutout unit. One side of the oil separation disk or a plate-like member of upper rotor below the oil separation disk includes a plurality of attachment holes of predetermined sizes is formed, while another side includes corresponding attachment holes that one is bigger than another. A connection member is fitted through the corresponding attachment hole, integrating the oil separation hole and the plate-like member of upper rotor, wherein the oil separation disk is attached on the upper part of the rotor.
